Fundraise for Team Mikaere

#TeamMikaere isn’t a charity. We made the decision to support existing charities to ensure we were being as efficient as possible with funds (this way there is only one charity overhead costs, rather than two – ensuring more money can go towards research).

We support Joseph’s Goal – UK’s only NKH Charity who funds NKH research in the UK by Dr Nick Greene.

Because there are so few NKH research projects every pound or dollar we raise has a tangible effect on the research that can be done. Because of this every pound we raise will have a direct affect on Kai’s future, every pound brings his future forward into the realm of possibility.

We’re so grateful for the offers of help. The most helpful act right now would be fundraising for Kai and NKH research through Joseph’s Goal.

Host an Event

We know our fundraisers want to go the extra mile so others may also inspired to give. Every pound is precious, so if you a small amount of time to dedicate – we’d be grateful for any event held – big (like sponsorship for running a marathon or climbing kilimanjaro) or small (such as a cake day at work or curry night with friends)

Small events, like a bake Sale, Curry Night (example), Poker Night or a Pub Quiz are wonderful ways to raise money.

Fundraising has such a profound effect on NKH awareness and research, more so than a one off donation. We’d love the help.

Match Giving + Corporate Sponsorship

Match Giving is a pledge by a company to match a fundraising quota of employees for a good cause (like Joseph’s Goal). Corporate partnerships are instrumental to NKH fundraising. Does your work have a charity program? Could your work partner with us? Could you email your human resources person and put us forward as a partner? We’d love to partner with any business looking to work with a charity.

Whether corporate sponsorship is on a small scale – such as a Christmas Jumper Day fundraiser, or a large one – financial sponsorship, donations of products, time or expertise, we’d love to work with you.

If you’d like to contribute on a regular basis, payroll giving is a great option. The donation is taken from your pre-tax salary (ie, part of the donation is made up from money earmarked to HMRC). You can use this scheme to give to any charity (like Joseph’s Goal) recognised by HMRC for tax purposes.
